For the past year, I have explored mixed media, photography, drawings, assemblages and encaustics to find my own artistic voice. My new work with assemblages and encaustics has encouraged me to not only "loosen the reins" but to actually "let go of the reins" altogether in trying to control the outcome of each piece. There have been happy surprises as a result, which may be a metaphor for life. Happy 2012 Everyone!
